Shock Absorber Replacement: Installation

  1. Install the shock absorber to the vehicle. See Figure. Install the shock absorber lower mounting bolt, the nut, and the parking brake bracket (right hand).
  2. Install the shock absorber lower mounting bolt and the nut (left hand). Install the shock absorber upper mounting nut. Tighten the shock absorber upper and lower mounting nuts to 107 N.m (79 lb ft). Lower the vehicle. Dispose of the shock absorber. See SHOCK ABSORBER DISPOSAL .
