Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to JACKING AND LIFTING in General Information.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION in Tires and Wheels.
  3. Remove the idler arm mounting bolts.

  4. Disconnect the idler arms for the frame. Move the steering linkage to gain access to the stabilizer shaft bracket mounting bolts.
  5. Remove the stabilizer shaft links. Refer to STABILIZER SHAFT LINK REPLACEMENT (RWD)  or STABILIZER SHAFT LINK REPLACEMENT (AWD)  .
  6. Remove the stabilizer shaft bracket mounting bolt and the nut (left hand).

  7. Remove the stabilizer shaft bracket mounting bolts (right hand).

  8. Remove the stabilizer shaft brackets.
  9. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulators from the stabilizer shaft.
  10. Remove the stabilizer shaft.
  11. Inspect all of the parts for wear or damage.
