Installation Procedure

  1. Install the stabilizer shaft to the frame.
  2. Install the stabilizer shaft insulators to the stabilizer shaft. Ensure that the slit in the insulator faces forward.
  3. Install the stabilizer shaft brackets to the stabilizer shaft insulators.
  4. Install the stabilizer shaft bracket mounting bolts (right hand).

    NOTE: Refer to FLEX DECOUPLER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices
  5. Install the stabilizer shaft bracket mounting bolt and nut (left hand).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the stabilizer shaft bracket mounting bolts and the nut to 55 N.m (41 lb ft).

  6. Install the stabilizer shaft links. Refer to STABILIZER SHAFT LINK REPLACEMENT (RWD)  or STABILIZER SHAFT LINK REPLACEMENT (AWD)  .
  7. Install the idler arms to the frame.
  8. Install the idler arm mounting bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the idler arm mounting bolts to 105 N.m (77 lb ft).

  9. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION in Tires and Wheels.
  10. Lower the vehicle.
