Oil Pump Drive Installation

  1. Apply grease to the oil pump drive gear for ease of assembly.
  2. NOTE: Ensure both components are aligned correctly or serious engine damage will occur.
  3. Line up the oil pump drive gear with the oil pump drive shaft.
  4. Install the oil pump drive, making sure that the oil pump drive is fully seated in the engine block.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the oil pump drive bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the oil pump drive bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
