Removal Procedure

  1. Open the hood.
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement in Engine Controls - 4.8L, 5.3L and 6.0L.
  3. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls - 4.8L, 5.3L and 6.0L.
  4. Remove the retainers (1) from the air cleaner mounting bracket (2).
  5. Remove the air cleaner mounting bracket (2) from the vehicle.
  6. Remove the retainers (3) from the air cleaner support lower bracket (4).

  8. Remove the lower air cleaner support bracket from the vehicle.
