Shift Valve Body Assemble

  1. Install the solenoid screen (1).

    Solenoid screen installed depth:  Ensure the solenoid screen (1) is installed to a depth of 0.50-1.00 mm (0.20-0.039 in) below the shift valve body surface, as shown in the insert, dimension A.

    NOTE: Refer to Transmission Control Valve Body Overhaul Notice .

  3. Install control main valve (1) and spring (2).
  4. Using J 43773  (2), compress the valve spring.

  5. Install retaining clip (1). Ensure the retaining clip (1) is below the valve body surface.

  7. Install D shift valve (1), spring (2), and plug (3).
  8. Using J 43773  (2), compress the valve spring.

  9. Install retaining clip (1). Ensure the retaining clip is below the valve body surface.

  11. Install E shift valve (1), spring (2), and plug (3).
  12. Using J 43773  (2), compress the valve spring.

  13. Install retaining clip (1). Make sure the retaining clip is below the valve body surface.

  15. Install C shift valve (1), spring (2), and plug.
  16. Using J 43773  (2), compress the valve spring.

  17. Install retaining clip (1). Ensure the retaining clip is below the valve body surface.
