Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 GMC Sierra and 2004 Chevrolet Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. If the vehicle is a 2500 series, position the transfer case shield, if equipped.
  2. Install the transfer case shield screws, if equipped.

  3. If the vehicle is a 1500 series, position the transfer case shield, if equipped.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the transfer case shield bolts, if equipped.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts/screws to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  5. Lower the vehicle.
