Installation Procedure

Install the starter/generator rotor.

Install the flexplate.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the flexplate bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 100 N.m (74 lb ft).

Remove the J 46093 (1) and bolts.

Install the starter/generator stator.
Install the starter/generator stator stud.
Tighten: Tighten the stud to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

Install the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L Engines) or Transmission Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2) in Automatic Transmission - 4L60-E/4L65-E.
