Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the energy storage box (ESB) intermediate cover. Refer to Energy Storage Box (ESB) Trim Cover Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2) .
  2. Disconnect the 120-volt AC electrical connector (3).

  4. Remove the receptacle outlet screws (1).

  6. Carefully pull the receptacle outlet (3) out of the ESB until the retaining tabs are accessible.
  7. Insert a small flat-bladed tool into the openings (1) in the receptacle box in order to release the tabs securing the face plate.
  8. Remove the receptacle face plate (2).
