Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the 120-volt AC electrical connector (3).

  3. Remove the energy storage box (ESB) intermediate cover. Refer to Energy Storage Box (ESB) Trim Cover Replacement (5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2) .
  4. Remove the receptacle outlet cover screws (1).

  6. Remove the 120-volt cable connector screws.

  8. Disconnect the retainers securing the 120-volt cable to the ESB.
  9. Note the routing of the 120-volt cable.

  11. Remove the 120-volt cable (1) out through the receptacle opening (2) in the ESB.
