Installation Procedure

  1. Install the auxiliary positive battery cable.
  2. Install the auxiliary positive battery cable to the starter stud.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the starter lead nut.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  5. Install the auxiliary cable clip bolt to the frame.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Install the auxiliary positive battery cable clip to the battery tray.
  9. Install the auxiliary positive battery cable to the auxiliary relay.
  10. Install the auxiliary positive battery cable nut.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  12. Position the boot.
  13. Connect the auxiliary battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery)  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) .
