Removal Procedure

CAUTION:
Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
- Disconnect the auxiliary battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) .
- Remove the auxiliary battery cable clips from the fender wheelhouse inner panel.
- Remove the clip for the auxiliary battery cables on the frame.
- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Remove the auxiliary battery negative cable bolt.
- Remove the battery cable retainer nut.
- Remove the auxiliary battery cable from the retainer.
- Remove the starter lead nut.
- Remove the auxiliary battery cable from the vehicle.
