Installation Procedure

    IMPORTANT: Install the engine wiring harness ground terminal on top of and inboard of the auxiliary negative battery cable ground crimp.
  1. Install the auxiliary negative battery cable.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the engine wiring harness/auxiliary negative battery cable bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

  5. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L Engines) or Engine Sight Shield Replacement (6.0L Engine w/RPOs Y91 and Z88) in Engine Mechanical - 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L.
  6. Install the auxiliary battery cable clips to the studs at the front of dash.

  8. Connect the auxiliary battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery)  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) .
