Cause Action
DEFINITION: A growl or whine noise is coming from the clutch when engaged or disengaged.
Review the Symptoms - Clutch  and perform the necessary inspections.
Pilot bearing is worn or damaged Replace the pilot bearing. Refer to Pilot Bearing Replacement .
Release bearing damaged or worn Replace the release bearing. Refer to Clutch Actuator Cylinder Replacement (NV3500/NV4500 Transmissions)  or Clutch Actuator Cylinder Replacement (ZF S6-650 Transmission) .
