Removal Procedure

- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister vent valve electrical connector (1).
- Remove the EVAP canister vent valve bracket bolt.
- Remove the EVAP pipe from the clips (1).
- Disconnect the EVAP vent pipe (4) from the EVAP canister.
- Remove the EVAP canister vent valve and pipe from the vehicle.
- If necessary, disconnect the EVAP vent pipe (3) from the EVAP canister vent valve (2).
- If necessary, detach the EVAP canister vent valve (2) from the bracket.
