Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 GMC Sierra and 2004 Chevrolet Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. If necessary, attach the EVAP canister vent valve (2) to the bracket.
  2. If necessary, connect the EVAP vent pipe (3) to the EVAP canister vent valve (2).
  3. Install the EVAP canister vent valve and pipe to the vehicle.
  4. Connect the EVAP vent pipe (4) to the EVAP canister.
  5. Install the EVAP pipe to the clips (1).
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

  7. Install the EVAP canister vent valve bracket bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

  8. Connect the EVAP canister vent valve electrical connector (1).

  10. Lower the vehicle.
