Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 GMC Sierra and 2004 Chevrolet Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the EVAP canister to the bracket.
  2. Install the EVAP pipe to the EVAP canister, and retaining clip.
  3. Install the EVAP canister.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the EVAP canister bracket bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  6. Connect the EVAP vent valve pipe to the EVAP canister.

  8. Connect the fuel tank EVAP pipe to the EVAP canister.

  10. Connect the EVAP purge pipe to the chassis EVAP purge pipe.

  12. Lower the vehicle.
