Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 GMC Sierra and 2004 Chevrolet Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the purge solenoid to the intake manifold.
  2. Install the engine wiring harness bracket to the stud.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the purge solenoid nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

  6. Connect the purge solenoid electrical connector (1).

  8. Connect the EVAP purge pipe.

  10. Install the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .
