Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the water outlet. Refer to Water Outlet Tube Replacement (6.6L (LB7) Engine) or Water Outlet Tube Replacement (6.6L (LLY) Engine) in Engine Cooling.
  2. Remove the air intake tube. Refer to Air Intake Pipe Replacement .

  3. Reposition the fuel hose clamps (1) at the return/feed line as required.

  5. Disconnect the fuel hoses from the return/feed line as required.

  7. Reposition the fuel hose clamps (1) at the injection pump as required.
  8. Disconnect the fuel hoses (2, 3) from the injection pump as required.
  9. Remove the fuel hoses from the vehicle as required.

  1. Install the fuel hoses to the vehicle as required.
  2. Connect the fuel hoses (2, 3) to the injection pump as required.
  3. Position the fuel hose clamps (1) at the injection pump as required.

  5. Connect the fuel hoses to the return/feed line as required.

  7. Position the fuel hose clamps (1) at the return/feed line as required.
  8. Install the air intake tube. Refer to Air Intake Pipe Replacement .
  9. Install the water outlet. Refer to Water Outlet Tube Replacement (6.6L (LB7) Engine) or Water Outlet Tube Replacement (6.6L (LLY) Engine) in Engine Cooling.
  10. Prime the fuel system. Refer to Fuel System Priming .
  11. Start the engine. If the engine stalls, repeat the above step.
  12. Once the engine starts, inspect for fuel leaks.
