Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler tube. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Cooler Tube Replacement .
  2. Remove the EGR valve bolts (3).
  3. Remove the EGR valve/solenoid assembly (1).

  4. Remove and discard the EGR valve/solenoid assembly gasket (2).
