Installation Procedure

  1. Install the IAH relay.

  3. Install the IAH relay assembly to the housing.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Install the IAH relay controller nuts and washers.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  7. Install the IAH relay controller cover.

  9. Install the IAH relay controller.
  10. Install the IAH relay controller bolts (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  11. Install the battery cables and nuts to the IAH relay controller.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  13. Reposition the battery cable boots (1).

  15. Connect the IAH relay electrical connector (3).
  16. Connect the engine harness connector (2).

  18. Install the upper intake manifold cover.
  19. Install the upper intake manifold cover to the outlet duct.
  20. Tighten the outlet duct clamp at the upper intake manifold cover.

    Tighten:  Tighten the clamp to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  22. Connect the negative battery cables. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) in Engine Electrical.
