Installation Procedure

    IMPORTANT: If the MAF/IAT sensor is installed backwards, the fuel system goes rich. An arrow cast into the plastic portion of the sensor indicates proper air flow direction. The arrow must point toward the engine.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  1. If necessary, install the MAF/IAT sensor.

  3. If necessary, tighten the MAF/IAT clamp.

    Tighten:  Tighten the clamp to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

  4. Position the air cleaner assembly (1) onto the air cleaner adaptor (2).

  6. Push down on the air cleaner assembly in order to secure the assembly to the adaptor.
  7. Connect the MAF/IAT sensor electrical connector (4).

  9. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement .
