Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 GMC Sierra, 2004 GMC Cab & Chassis Sierra, 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, and 2004 Chevrolet Cab & Chassis Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the console to the bracket.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the fasteners retaining the console to the bracket.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (17 lb in).

  3. Install the amplifier and bracket to the console bracket. Refer to Amplifier Replacement in Entertainment.
  4. Install the console bin. Refer to Console Storage Bin Replacement (Expect Pro)  or Console Storage Bin Replacement (Pro) .
  5. Install the rear seat audio control to the console, if equipped. Refer to Audio Control Replacement - Rear Seat in Entertainment.
  6. Install the console in the vehicle.
  7. Connect the wire connectors.
  8. Move the console forward in order to install the retaining screws.
  9. Install the 2 screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

  10. Install the cupholder to the console. Refer to Cupholder Replacement (Luxury) , Cupholder Replacement (Non-Luxury) , Cupholder Replacement (Rear)  or Cupholder Replacement (Pro) .
  11. Install the upper console bezel. Refer to Bezel Replacement - Floor Console (Non-Luxury Upper) , Bezel Replacement - Floor Console (Luxury Upper)  or Bezel Replacement - Floor Console (Non-Luxury Lower) .
  12. Install both front seats. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket in Seats.
