Parking Pawl (4T80-E): Installation

Place the pawl in the case slot. See Fig 1 . Attach the spring to the pawl. Insert the pivot pin through the spring and pawl. See Fig 2 . The hook end of the spring locates on the case and the square end on top of the parking pawl. Install the pivot pin using a mallet. Install the park gear. See PARKING GEAR (4T80-E) . Install the lower valve assembly and the bottom pan. See LOWER CONTROL VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY (4T80-E) .
