Removal Procedure

- Remove the rear seat assembly. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT-REAR (2-DOOR UTILITY) or SEAT REPLACEMENT-REAR (4-DOOR UTILITY) or SEAT REPLACEMENT-REAR (CREW CAB) in Seats.
- Remove the lower seat belt anchor plate from the rear seat bolt.
- Remove the upper seat belt anchor bolt cover.
- Remove the bolt that retains the upper seat belt anchor plate.
- Remove the body side trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT-BODY SIDE (STANDARD CAB PICKUP) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT-BODY SIDE (EXTENDED CAB PICKUP) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT-BODY SIDE (2-DOOR UTILITY) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT-BODY SIDE (4-DOOR UTILITY) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT-BODY SIDE (CREW CAB) in Interior Trim.
- Guide the seat belt through the opening in the body side trim panel.
- Remove the bolt that retains the seat belt retractor assembly to the vehicle.
- Remove the seat belt retractor assembly from the vehicle.
