Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the bolt that retains the lower seat belt anchor plate to the vehicle.

  2. Carefully pry open the upper seat belt anchor plate cover with a flat-bladed tool.

  3. Remove the bolt that retains the upper seat belt anchor plate to the vehicle.
  4. Remove the body side trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT-BODY SIDE (STANDARD CAB PICKUP) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT-BODY SIDE (EXTENDED CAB PICKUP) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT-BODY SIDE (2-DOOR UTILITY) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT-BODY SIDE (4-DOOR UTILITY) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT-BODY SIDE (CREW CAB) in Interior Trim.
  5. Guide the seat belt through the opening in the body side trim cover.

  6. Remove the bolt that retains the seat belt retractor assembly to the vehicle.
  7. Remove the seat belt retractor assembly from the vehicle.
