Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the engine from the vehicle. Refer to ENGINE REPLACEMENT  .
  2. Install the engine on a suitable engine stand.
  3. Remove the oil pan bolts.

  4. Remove the oil pan nuts.

  5. Remove the oil pan. Use a narrow putty knife in order to separate the oil pan from the engine block.

  6. Remove the oil pan rear oil seal.
  7. Clean the sealing surfaces and the oil pan. Refer to OIL PAN CLEANING AND INSPECTION  .
