Installation Procedure

  1. Install the transfer case shield to the cross member.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the transfer case shield mounting bolts from the transfer case shield.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the mounting bolts to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).

  3. Lower the vehicle. Refer to JACKING AND LIFTING in General Information.
