Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to FASCIA REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER - UPPER (AZTEK)  or FASCIA REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUMPER - UPPER (RENDEZVOUS)  .
  2. Remove the energy absorber. Refer to ENERGY ABSORBER REPLACEMENT - FRONT (AZTEK)  or ENERGY ABSORBER REPLACEMENT - FRONT (RENDEZVOUS)  .
  3. Remove the bolt from the upper inboard impact bar through the access hole in the radiator support.

  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the horn.
  5. Remove the horns from the impact bar.

  6. Remove the remainder of the impact bar bolts.
  7. Remove the impact bar.
