Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the endgate lock cylinder to the endgate.
  2. Install the endgate lock cylinder retainer to the lock cylinder, pressing into place until fully seated.
  3. Connect the electrical connector to the endgate lock cylinder.
  4. Connect the endgate lock cylinder wiring harness to the endgate inner panel.
  5. Install the endgate water deflector. Refer to WATER DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - END GATE  .
  6. Install the endgate trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - END GATE  .
  7. Close the endgate.
