Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Important:  Failure to perform the following step may result in no reverse gear due to the servo pin not aligning with the reverse band.

  1. Raise the driver (left) side of the vehicle until it is higher than the passenger (right) differential side.

This ensures that the reverse band is in the proper location.

  2. Install the servo spring (49).
  3. Install the servo assembly (42-48).
  4. Install the reverse servo cover (40) with the new O-ring seal (41).
  5. Install the snap ring (39).
  6. Install the throttle body air inlet duct.
