Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Open the door.
  2. Disconnect the power window switch assembly. Refer to POWER WINDOW SWITCH REPLACEMENT - LEFT FRONT (AZTEK)  or POWER WINDOW SWITCH REPLACEMENT - LEFT FRONT (RENDEZVOUS)  or to POWER WINDOW SWITCH REPLACEMENT - RIGHT FRONT (AZTEK)  or POWER WINDOW SWITCH REPLACEMENT - RIGHT FRONT (RENDEZVOUS)  .
  3. Remove the screws from the front door trim panel
  4. Use the J 38778  to remove the trim panel.
    1. Reposition the electrical harness connectors.
    2. Remove the trim panel from the vehicle.
