Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the tilt lever.
  2. Install the retaining bolt to the tilt lever.

    Tighten  Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 Ib. in).

  3. Install the tilt lever spring.
  4. Install the lower trim cover. Refer to STEERING COLUMN TRIM COVERS REPLACEMENT  .
  5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
