Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Yukon XL, 2003 GMC Yukon, 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2003 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the seat back cover and pad to the frame.
  2. Install the head restraint retainers.
  3. Install the plastic pushpin (1) into the side seat belt guide.

  4. Connect the J-clips to the trim.
  5. Install the plastic seat belt guides (1).

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the seat belt anchor bolt (1).

    Tighten 

    1. Tighten the bolt to 53 N.m (39 lb ft).

  7. Install the side trim plate and screws (1).

    Tighten 

    1. Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
  8. Install the headrests. Refer to HEAD RESTRAINT REPLACEMENT (CADILLAC)  or HEAD RESTRAINT REPLACEMENT (NON-CADILLAC)  or HEAD RESTRAINT REPLACEMENT (FOLDING)  .
  9. Install the seat to the vehicle. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - REAR NO. 2  .
