Removal Procedure

  1. Lower the end gate.
  2. Remove the rear cargo compartment cover.
  3. Remove the cargo box. Refer to BOX REPLACEMENT - CARGO STOWAGE (AVALANCHE)  .
  4. Using a trim panel removal tool or a suitable flat bladed tool, carefully pry the drain valve up from the cargo floor.
  5. Remove the drain valve from the vehicle.
