Disabling System (F150 & F250 Light Duty)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Wait at least 1 minute for backup power supply to deplete stored energy.
  2. Remove driver air bag module. See DRIVER AIR BAG MODULE . Connect appropriate air bag simulator to clockspring connector at top of steering column, in place of air bag.
  3. Remove oval-shaped relay cover from passenger side of instrument panel. See Figure. Disconnect passenger side air bag module electrical connector. Connect appropriate air bag simulator to vehicle harness, in place of air bag. See AIR BAG SIMULATOR . Connect battery ground cable.
