Activating System (Windstar)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Wait at least one minute for backup power supply to deplete stored energy. Remove air bag simulator from clockspring connector at top of steering column. Reconnect air bag module connector. Install steering wheel access panel.
  2. Remove air bag simulator from passenger air bag vehicle harness connector. Reconnect air bag module connector. Restore glove box to original position.
  3. Disconnect side air bag simulators. Reconnect side air bag module connectors. Reconnect negative battery cable. Recheck system operation. Perform SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK . Reprogram USER 1 and USER 2 preset radio frequencies and set clock.
