Activating System (Crown Victoria & Grand Marquis)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Wait at least one minute for backup power supply to deplete stored energy. Remove air bag simulator from clockspring connector. Install driver air bag module.
  2. Remove air bag simulator from passenger air bag vehicle harness connector. Connect module to vehicle harness. Remove air bag simulators from side air bag connectors under front seats. Reconnect side air bag module connectors to vehicle harness.
  3. Reconnect negative battery cable. Recheck system operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK . Reprogram preset radio frequencies and set clock.
