Removal Procedure

  1. Use the J 25070  in order to heat the molding and the surrounding sheet metal to 82-93°C (180-200°F).

  3. Remove the roof joint molding.

    Use a flat bladed tool in order to pry off the molding between the sealer and the joint. Use pliers or a similar tool in order to handle the hot molding and pull the molding loose. The molding and the sealer should come off in 1 piece.

    Do not damage the paint on the cab.

  4. Clean the joint in order to remove any remaining sealer. Sealer could interfere with the fit of the replacement molding.
