Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 GMC Safari and 2002 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the antenna cable to the vehicle.
  2. Install the antenna cable though the grommet on the cowl.
  3. Install the antenna cable to the clip at the HVAC module.
  4. Roll the instrument panel up.
  5. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
  6. Install the antenna mounting bolts. Tighten the antenna mounting bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
  7. Install the air inlet grille.
  8. Install the radio antenna mast. Refer to Fixed Antenna Mast Replacement .
  9. Install the wiper arms. Refer to WIPER ARM REPLACEMENT .
  10. Verify component operation.
