Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the coolant to a level below the thermostat. Refer to Draining & Filling Cooling System .
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
  3. Disconnect the ground lead from the coolant outlet.
  4. Remove the bolt/stud and the bolt on the coolant outlet.
  5. Remove the coolant outlet.

  6. Remove the thermostat.
  7. Clean all of the parts and the sealing surfaces.
