Removal Procedure

  1. Place a drain pan under the oil filter adapter.
  2. Disconnect the oil cooler lines from the oil filter adapter assembly.

  3. Remove the oil cooler line to engine clip bolt.
  4. Remove the oil cooler lines from the engine clip.

  5. Disconnect the oil cooler lines from the radiator connector fitting by doing the following:
    • Use a small pick-type tool or a screwdriver to release one of the open ends of the retaining clip from the connector fitting.
    • Disconnect the retaining clip from the connector fitting.
    • Discard the clips.
  6. Remove the engine oil cooler lines.
  7. Clean all of the components with a suitable solvent. Dry the components with compressed air.
  8. Inspect the following for damage or distortion:
    • The connector fittings
    • The connectors
    • The engine oil cooler lines
