Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle.
  2. Loosen the park brake cable at the equalizer.
  3. Remove the front park brake cable from the park brake cable connector.

  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Remove the front cable (1) from the lever assembly (2).

  8. Remove the cowl side panel trim.
  9. Remove the lever assembly. Refer to Park Brake Pedal Assembly Replacement .
  10. Remove the step trim plate. Lift the rocker panel trim and peel back: the carpet to expose the park brake cable grommet (4).
  11. Remove the front cable (3). Unclip the cable and pull through the body.
