Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 GMC Safari and 2002 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Bench bleed the master cylinder. Refer to Master Cylinder Bench Bleeding .
  2. Install the master cylinder to the vehicle.
  3. Install the combination valve bracket.
  4. Install the master cylinder bolts and nuts. Tighten the nuts to 36 N.m (27 lb ft).
  5. Connect the brake pipes to the master cylinder. Tighten the pipe nuts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
  6. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual)  or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure)  .
