Removal Procedure

  1. Install the J 41602  to the hoist and raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Support the rear axle.
  3. Remove the lower shock absorber mounting bolt and nut.
  4. Remove the muffler.
  5. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to FUEL TANK .
  6. Remove the leaf spring to hanger mounting bolt and nut (left side only).

  7. Lower the rear axle.
  8. Remove the hanger mounting nuts.
  9. Remove the hanger mounting bolts.
  10. Remove the hanger from the frame.
