Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 GMC Safari and 2002 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the stabilizer shaft to the frame.
  2. Install the stabilizer shaft insulators to the stabilizer shaft. Ensure that the slit in the insulator faces forward.
  3. Install the stabilizer shaft brackets to the stabilizer shaft insulators.
  4. Install the stabilizer shaft bracket mounting bolts (right hand).
  5. Install the stabilizer shaft bracket mounting bolt and nut (left hand). Tighten the stabilizer shaft bracket mounting bolts and the nut to 55 N.m (41 lb ft).
  6. Install the stabilizer shaft links. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (RWD)  or Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (AWD)  .
  7. Install the idler arms to the frame.
  8. Install the idler arm mounting bolts. Tighten the idler arm mounting bolts to 105 N.m (77 lb ft).
  9. Install the tire and wheel.
  10. Lower the vehicle.
