Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 GMC Safari and 2002 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the steering wheel to the steering shaft.
  2. Install the steering wheel retaining nut. Tighten the steering wheel retaining nut to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).
  3. Install the horn plunger to the steering column.
  4. Install the steering wheel inflator module. Refer to AIR BAG MODULES .
  5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
