Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 GMC Safari and 2002 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Important:  Note the position of all the tie-straps, power steering hoses and the hose insulators for proper re-installation.

  1. Remove the power brake booster outlet hose tie-straps.
  2. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
  3. Disconnect the power steering cooler hose from the power steering gear.
  4. Disconnect the hydraulic brake booster outlet hose from the steering gear.

  6. Disconnect the hydraulic brake booster outlet hose from the hydraulic brake booster.

  8. Remove the hydraulic brake booster outlet hose from the vehicle.
