Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Chevrolet Malibu. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the valve rocker arm covers. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Right (Rear)  and Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Left (Front)  .

    Important:  Keep the components separated in order to install the components in the same location.

  2. Remove the rocker arm bolts.
  3. Remove the rocker arms.

    Important:  Keep the pushrods in order in order to install the pushrods in the original position.

  4. Remove the pushrods.
