Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Chevrolet Malibu. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Apply thread locker to all of the flywheel bolts. Use GM P/N 12345382 or an equivalent.
  2. Install the flywheel.
  3. Install the flywheel spacer.
    CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the flywheel bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the flywheel bolts to 83 N.m (61 lb ft).

  5. Install the transmission. Refer to TRANSAXLE in Automatic Transaxle 4T40-E/4T45-E.
